Dr. Rosina CheungFOUNDER | OPTOMETRISTDr. Rosina Cheung received her Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2006. She started her early career years in the beautiful Victoria, BC. In 2009, she decided to move back to GTA and has been serving the community since.
Dr. Cheung completed her ocular disease and therapeutics externship in Toronto, following prestigious retinal specialist, Dr. J. Cheskes, and cataract specialist, Dr. R. Stein, while she had extensive exposure to various ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataract and corneal diseases. Dr. Cheung also completed her externships at Hong Kong Polytechnic University where she focused on primary patient care, specialty contact lenses (e.g. Ortho-K), myopia management and paediatrics. Throughout her optometric journey, Dr. Cheung has travelled to Guatemala, Peru and Nepal, to participate in humanitarian missions to provide primary eye care service and glasses to the underserved local community. She was also a proud member of the Toronto Pan Am Eye Care Team in 2015 to provide visual assessments and ocular emergency care for on-site athletes. Dr. Cheung is trained for comprehensive eye care; however, she has special interests in myopia control and management in children and loves working with them. She can speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. |
Dr. Sally LiASSOCIATE OPTOMETRISTDr. Sally Li is an accomplished associate optometrist with a strong academic and professional background. She graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with Dean’s Honour from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science.
Before entering the field of optometry, Dr. Li worked in a cancer research lab led by Dr. Jonathan Bramson at McMaster University, focusing on innovative therapies involving modified immune cells to target cancer. Her clinical experience includes working in rural British Columbia, where she encountered a variety of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes. Dr. Li has a particular interest in contact lenses and myopia control. She is fluent in English and Cantonese, allowing her to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Li enjoys exploring new culinary experiences, with a particular enthusiasm for seafood. |
